Email Writing Skills - When Asking For Leave
Hello Everyone,
In this article, I am gonna tell you about different scenarios of asking for leave when you are working in an office. Many times you require leave for your personal reasons and health issues as well for which you need to write an email to you manager asking for the leave approval. So, below are some of the examples with different reasons to take leave.
Example 1: Email asking for medical leave:
To: Write you Manager's official email ID here from whom you are asking for leave
CC: Write official email ID's of people whom you want to give notification of your leave request (Example: Senior Manager, Team Leader and Assistant Manager etc.)
Subject: Request for 2 days medical leave
Attachment: Attach your medical documents in the email, if required.
Hello (Manager's Name),
With due respect I would like to inform you that I would not be able to attend office for two days i.e. from 1st December to 2nd December due to my bad health condition.
I will definitely complete my pending assigned work as soon as I rejoin the office. I am looking forward for your approval.

Example 2: Leave for sister's marriage

CC: Write official email ID's of people whom you want to give notification of your leave request (Example: Senior Manager, Team Leader and Assistant Manager etc.)
Subject: Leave of absence for 3 days
Hello (Manager's Name),
With due respect I am writing this email to inform you that, I want leave for 3 days from 1st December 2020 to 3rd December 2020 due to my sister's marriage. I will Join my duties from 4th December 2020.
I will complete all my allocated tasks on time.
Kindly grant me leave for the above mentioned dates.

Example 3: Maternity leave request

Subject: Request for 2 months maternity leave
Hello (Manager's Name),
Writing this email to ask that I am seeking for maternity leave for upcoming two months from 1st December 2020. I will join my duties in the first week of February 2021.
Kindly approve my maternity leave for the asked days. If I need to change or enhance the leave duration then I will submit another email to confirm.
